Kardashian Kollection Launch – Sydney

Last night, thanks to QANTAS, I attended the very special Kardashian Kollection launch party at Hugo’s in Kings Cross.

I took my partner in crime, Angie. We met Kim last year when she was here for Optus and we were hoping we’d get to meet Khloe and Lamar this time around. No such luck. There were hundreds of people, although the space was well thought out. The girls worked the black carpet for what seemed like an hour before ascending the stairs and spending the night in a roped-off section for a private party.

It seemed like too much effort to even try to get a photo with/of them and I was quite happy dancing, eating Hugo’s famous pizza and drinking sparkling to care.

It was disappointing that, considering the event was to promote their bag line, the girls did no such promoting. There were a few bags on display as you walked up the stairs into the bar and some posters in the bathrooms, but I don’t know anything about the design process, the materials, distribution or even prices of the bags from the launch.

Kim looked genuinely sad and withdrawn. Her oversized coat looked more like a security blanket than a fashion item and she stayed close to her sister and Lamar. Khloe was all smiles and Lamar was adorable and gave Angie and I a sheepish little wave when we said hello.

So as you can see, we ended up at Cherry Bar at The Star. I’m a bit of a fan. The cocktail list is cheeky and delicious. Go for a Cherry Cola For Lola if you’re heading down.
